Education: B.A. Integral Program, Saint Mary's College of California; M.A. in English, San Francisco State University.

Professional Experience:  Coach Tressel joined the Cal Maritime athletics program in the fall of 2004 as the crew coach.  The crew program has developed over the years as a solid contender, with both the men's and women's programs competing against some of the best crews on the west coast.  The team has traveled to Boston on occasion for the Head of the Charles regatta, but mainly stays on the west coast, participating in regattas up and down California and into Oregon. 

Most of the student-athletes coming into the program have no experience with crew prior to their participation at Cal Maritime, and they represent all of the majors offered at the academy.
